Ichabod walked out to the lake with his note book and sat down on a rock. he looked up at the moon and thought what a night. he then pulled out his note book and flipped to a page he had written about his mother. it had stated
i really dont remember much about her except the two pictures that had become one. i still have it. i only remember her eyes and long brunette hair. her face is a blur to me though. at times i have put wednesday's face there but i cant stand that. I only mostly remember her face with blood in that torchure machine when his father had murdered her.
he then put the book off to the side and heard strange noises that sounds like singing.

"the mermaids sing." Wednesday said walking up to Ichabod. "people know." she then said sitting in front of him on the ground as he was on a rock. "You seem a little quiet." she said turning around.

"just thinking my mother." he said knowing she knew. "i still cant remember her face. Just the fact that she was murdered and my father did it." Ike said looking at the lake. He sighed. Ike really wanted to remember her but he couldent.

"no i am sorry. but forget about it. You seem really troubled though." Wednesday said sitting by Ike. She then asked him "why Ike and not Ichabod?"

"because my mother gave the name to me and i dont want to be called that here." Ike said looking at Wednesday. "same here why Wene and not Wednesday?" he then asked her.
