"Yeah!" Rikka whooped, raising a arm in the air. "Another non-experienced flyer." she smiled at the new guest.
Well, that was kinda rude...Now that I think about it...whoops. "Er- I just mean...I'm not too good at this myself and I didn't want to be alone on this." she finished pathetically at the stranger.
Rikka placed her hand back on the broom handle, "And you are?" She tried to move on from her outburst casually.

Kira laughed trying to get the tension the newcomer had brought to break.
"Rikka, you're not the only one. In fact, I'm probably worse." She confessed.

Rikka laughed at Kira's comment, "I guess we'll see, won't we?" she looked out at the rest of the pitch briefly.
"But it must be hard for you, you said you were afraid of flying right?" she tilted her head in thought, looking back at Kira.
I wish I could face my fears like that.... What would that be though? A huge speech in front of everyone? ...That's so lame.

Kotaru gave a swift glimpse at everyone who spoke to him. He then continued to look up at them at this moment. He tried to match the very last voice he had heard to the girls, after he decided; he looked to the brunette girl. “Sounds like you’ve previously flew on a broom, if I’m correct. Why was it difficult for you?” “My name’s Kotaru. And you are..?” He asked, with a dreary voice.

"That's...a good question." Rikka had flashbacks of her many attempts.
"My brother, he wasn't the best teacher. And I've fallen several times." she shuttered, remembering the horrible sensation of falling and almost hitting the ground.
Its like he'd set me up for failure...and he always took his time saving me before I hit the damn ground. She narrowed her eyes slightly.
"But I won't fall now." she reassured her friends with a smile, "I guess I just don't have the knack for it. I suppose if I practiced enough I could be good...I have great reflexes."
Its the only reason I've survived as long as I have with him
"I'm Rikka, sixth year in Maple." she beamed at him.

Kira remembered her previous flying.
"Elves are creatures of nature, forrest, valleys, rivers...the only type of flying we do are not on these brooms, but more on griffins." Kira said as she closed her eyes remembering her own griffin from back when.
"We didn't have to steer, we would communicate with the great beasts and before they took of from the ground they would already know where our destination was..." Kira finished as her eyes suddenly popped open looking straight at Rikkas.
"It's the fear of not knowing that consumes me, not actually flying." Kira added as she unmounted her broom, her legs tired of waiting on the mounted possition.
Then her eyes broke Rikka's gaze as she turned a vial of red liquid that she'd gotten from the inside of her robbes between her fingers.

Lily snapped out of staring off into space and noticed a newcomer. "Oh.." Lily said silently, then raised her voice so he could hear. "Hi, I'm Lily" She smiled, then snapped back into her daze. ...Honestly..i think the teacher is ignoring us..

Calypso snapped back to reality realizing she had been daydreaming again. I've gotta stop doing that.. she thought shaking her head a little bit. "Sorry about that." she said apologizing to her students. She mounted her broom carefully and looked back to her students.
Calypso gave a soft push off of the soft ground and in seconds she was levitating about ten feet in the air. She stayed there for a moment before moving about gracefully on her broom. She swung her leg back over the broom and with her knees bent she balanced herself on her broom. "Okay, everyone off the ground and move about freely, so I can where you all actually stand when it comes to flying." she explained looking down at the students.

Sarafina rolled her eyes and tryed her hardest to supress a laugh. Teaching was a very different choice for you Cally. she thought to herself. She pushed her thoughts to the side so she could focus on flying.
Sarafina pushed off of the grass joining her cousin in the air. She stopped for a moment making sure that she had her balance before mimicking her cousins movements with equal grace. She stopped her movements and just levitated up in the air with a smile on her face. I love flying. she thought to herself her smile getting a little bigger.

After hearing the professor give her instructions, Tora couldn't help but stare up increduously at her. Oh sure; like it's no big deal in having to levitate your hundered or so pound self..and the broom, that's what...eight pounds?! she thought stubbornly.
Her eyes then trailed to said broom, and narrowed. Okay all joking aside...okay not really joking but...now what does one need to do to fly?...I know there was this one muggle movie...It was a boy named Pan something and he could fly...and he said to have trust...faith...
Tora stopped this process of thought. Aren't trust and faith the same thing? she thought, confusion apparent. Okay then extra trust...and then what else...maybe a happy thought and then-
"Pixie Dust!" she concluded out loud. And as if she had said the magic words her broom took off in a flash...her attached with it. Letting out a silent scream while still miraculously stearing her broom, she dodged the nearby tree and circled it a few times. Soon she lost momentum and altitude. Thus nearly skimming the ground, Tora hopped off the broom and was running with it from the current momentum.
Finally she opened her eyes and found her a couple yards away from her class. Oh yeah, this is a new embarassing. she thought glumly as she dropped her shoulders in defeat.

Calypso raised an eyebrow warily at Tora when she heard her yell something about pixies. She racked her brain for some connection between pixie dust and flying but didn't get anything. She ignored it and watched her students carefully.
Calypso flinched slightly after seeing what happened to Tora. Not the smartest idea you've had Calypso. she thought mentally scolding herself. She shook off her thoughts and lowered herself to the ground. She swung a leg over her broom so both feet were planted firmly on the ground. She walked carefully over to where Tora stoood.
She took a quick look at Tora. She doesn't look hurt, just disappointed. Calypso thought to herself. "Now that really wasn't all that bad for a first time." she said trying to cheer the girl up a little. She placed a hand carefully on Tora's shoulder, and asked if she was hurt.

Kira mounted her broom again. Okay, you're good at mimicking other people's movements...
Kira bent her knees, pushing herself of the ground.
Oh God...
As she went higher and higher everything became a blur.
C'mon, do something to slow yourself down!
Kira did the only thing she thought might work, she pulled back the brooms handle. The sudden stop had made the momentum she had built up attempt to throw her into the vast pitch, but she managed to hang on.
She looked down as she held on with one hand, it was a long way down, but her attention was stolen by something that glitterer near her left eye and realized, as she turned to examine what it was, she was right next to the goal posts.
"I really did go high up..." Kira said to herself, her wild hair masking part of her face. "and almost crashed into a set of goal posts...."
Kira attempted to swing back and forth, to be able to put one leg over her broom, and that she did.
Okay it's only flying... Kira thought...her hertbeat refusing to slow.
She slightly leaned forward away from the posts that were four feet from her, then changing her mind decided to circle them, slightly adding more speed to her broom.
This isn't to bad.....

Lily watched as the others flew into the air, again she had been dazing off. When she realised they were all to be flying, she lightly pushed off the ground with her feet. She slowly began to float up, then her broom stopped floating and she levitated for a second. She was a little worried about what happened to Tora, she gave a smile knowing that she was alright. With a quick movement, she put her feet back and began flying around at multiple speeds. This was one of her biggest problems when flying. Speed. She couldn't control how fast or slow she was going sometimes. Not drastically, no. Just, when Lily would like to slow down before running into a pole or something, she'll accidentally speed up. Atleast it feels nice outside. She thought as the nice breeze went flowing through her hair.

Rikka, who had watched most of the others soar off (and in certain cases fall), gave herself a mental slap before her feet allowed her to kick off the ground.
She rose higher and tried to ignore the butterflies as they became increasingly rabid from each inch put between them and the ground.
The wind whipped her hair wildly, Good thing I have a pony tail in at least.
She tried to not focus her attention to the ground anymore and the shrinking Tora. It wasn't the heights that scared her...it was the prospect of falling. Though not having her brother here was a big advantage for her.
But as try as she might his voice still echoed in her head, 'Don't grasp it like that! There you go, not too loose either...Don't lean back too much.'
She gave a scowl. Maybe he had taught her more than she realised? She pondered this as she corrected her grip. I'm doing okay... Just keep focused
She wasn't sure she was flying that steady though. But she quickly dismissed the problem I'll work on that later. At least I'm still airborne...for the moment.
